SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

For sustainable development, imparting knowledge, empowering the youth, women, local farmers and the society Foundation for Rural Development role out two project entitled Farms once eat forever and Divine Excellence. The projects are one part of the organisations social enterprise programs which are being implemented in Lilongwe.

The farm once eat forever project aims at empowering the youth, local farmers and the community of Mpingu in Lilongwe through product development (value addition) of agricultural commodities as well as implementation of good farming systems utilizing the local and natural resources available in the community.

The Divine Excellence project aims at providing capacity and technical expertise through the enhancement of creativity and innovation for export promotion and value addition for economic growth amongst the youth of Lilongwe urban areas.

Through these pilot project Foundation for Rural Development would like to see full utilization of locally talent, skills as well as the natural resources, through value addition and product develop products by applying innovativeness and creativity in our society.
